It is so because teachers should be able to assess as well as reviewing their result of teaching on their students. Thus, teachers should be the ones who have got Grade Book. This book is generally filled with the details on student’s achievement in certain subject. It does not only function as the remembrance for the teacher but also the tool to analyze what the teacher is going to do in order to manage the class and the students in a better way. In short, Grade Book is commonly used as the evaluation material for both the students and teachers.
What’s On Grade Book
Grade Book can be created easily through Microsoft Excel. Just create the table with some columns to the right and rows above. The number of row depends on how many students who are under your supervision.
There are several points which should exist in your table, such as the following:
• Small detail about your being a supervisor or teacher of certain class. It may include your name, the title of the subject, the name of the class, the semester/year, etc.
• Students name, column for this information is generally put at the very left side after the ‘number’ column
• Student ID
• Student grade
• Formula to calculate the grade, which can be located in the upper or bottom part of the table
How to Use Grade Book Template
If you have difficulties on creating from blank spreadsheet, you can download the free excel template below. First, open the file where the table you have made is located. Then, fill the blank columns with the data you have in hand (the grade). If there is a conversion from number to literal grade, it will be required for you to put calculation formula (like ‘if’ formula) in the corresponding column.
